WOW! I must be crazy…

Okay, big dramatic pause everyone…this is just nuts…

On Friday, June 15th, I will be releasing BOTH A Life Earthbound AND Of Water and Madness, the third and fourth books of The Dryad Quartet!  At last, The Dryad Quartet will be complete 🙂

Why release them together, you ask?  Because I can!  And because I’ve had eager requests for them, so I figured why the heck not.

So there you go.  On June 15th, the entire Dryad Quartet will be available online at in both Kindle and hardcopy format.  *cheers*  They will also be available in the Kindle Lending Library, so if you’re an Amazon Prime member you can borrow the books FREE!

  1. What the…

Do you actually write a book a month or you had some of them finished? This is… a lot… of words.

Anyway, congratulations for this publishing… bundle? Can I call it that? What’s next? New series? New books? Different genre? This is like an interview or something.

    • LOL no, I didn’t write a book a month, wow I’d be super woman if I could do that 😉 No I finished the series late last year (I started writing the Quartet in August of 2010, finished the last book in November of 2011.

Thank you! I’m very excited! And yes you may call it a bundle 🙂

Next up…well, I recently finished the first draft on a book about a New York city luxury hotel and the family that built it…it’s much deadlier and darker than the Quartet, and is not fantasy (it’s more of a mystery/romance/thriller…). I’m having it edited as we speak but am underway on a cover design and book trailer so I’ll post them up soon! And after that I’m going to write a book about ghost hunting.

I’m just all over the place when it comes to genres! lol

      • In any case, you’re a fast writer. Maybe not a book a month, but still… to write 4 books in little over an year… it’s fantastic. I’m curious to know your average daily word count and the maximum you ever wrote in a day, if you don’t mind. Just curious. Mine is 5000 words on Jazz, from 9 PM ’till 5 AM.

Your mystery/romance/thriller story sounds cool. I’ve lived half my current life in a hotel, then in various restaurants (owned by my dad), and it was pretty cool. And I like New York. And luxury. So if you decide to send ARCs, I’d be more than happy to read it and review it or something. If not, I’ll wait ’till it’s published, which shouldn’t take long, considering the speed with which you publish books.

      • Hmm I guess I don’t really know my average word count! When I was working on the Quartet books I was trying to get through at least a chapter every time I wrote (which I try to keep around ten 8 1/2″ x 11″ pages as a rule). But usually I’d only manage to do half a chapter or a quarter. And writing every day didn’t happen…obviously there’s work and stuff that gets in the way. When I was writing the first book, I took a big hiatus from it (three weeks or so) and hated myself for it, but I was having a hard time then getting inspiration.

I can’t believe you write so late at night!! I go to bed around 9pm lol! Though a lot of people are at their wittiest in the late evening hours I suppose, so if it works for you…

Wow that’s interesting that you lived in a hotel! I did too, but only for a few months while my husband and I were trying to save money to buy our house.

I would love to send you a copy of the book for review 🙂 Once I get it back from my editor and finalize it, I’ll email it over! It’s about a hundred pages longer than any one of the Quartet books (130,000 words versus 80,000!), and actually took me about four months to write.

  2. I agree with the comments above, you must be lightning fast when you write! I’ve been working on the same manuscript for two and a half years and it’s still not finished… I can’t believe you wrote all four in that amount of time. Can’t wait for the release, congratulations!

    • Thanks Lily! I’m just very fortunate to have a desk job where I can take long breaks and work on writing. If it wasn’t for that, I’m sure it would have taken me a lot longer!
